New accounts see the lesson accuracy review expanded

For your first week, the accuracy reviewer's notes under each lesson start open so you can see what "reviewed" means before deciding to fold them away. The setting on your dashboard still wins.

Report an error on any news story

Every story in your briefing now has a "Report an error" link next to its sources. Reports come straight to us, and a story several readers flag the same day is pulled from the rest of that day's briefings.

A public corrections log

What we got wrong in a briefing or lesson, and what we did about it, is now logged at /corrections/. Linked from the footer, the landing page, and How it works.

Sign-up catches email domains that can't receive mail

If the domain in your email address has no mail service, sign-up now says so right away instead of sending a verification link that could never arrive.

Markets stories are separated like the rest of the briefing

The Markets card drew a doubled rule under its title and no line between stories. It now uses the same single divider between stories as every other section.

Forecast tiles now say when the rain is

A day with a rainy morning and a warm, dry afternoon used to show up as one line like "93° · 100% rain", pairing the afternoon high with the morning downpour. Each day's high and condition now come from daytime hours, and the rain line says AM, PM, all day or overnight.

  • The 5-day tiles are laid out in four aligned rows: day, high and low, condition, rain.
  • Tile numbers come straight from the weather provider; the AI no longer copies them into the briefing.

Removed the misleading "8h old" line under stories

The small line under each story that counted outlets and search engines also showed how old the story was, but that age was measured when the briefing was built, not when you opened it. The line is gone until it can say something that stays true.

The X on the "What's new" bar dismisses it again

Closing the bar at the top of your briefing or dashboard did nothing. It now hides the bar and remembers the dismissal on your account.

Mark-as-read control stays put when a section folds

The checkmark that marks a briefing section as read and the control that brings it back are now one button in one place: at the right end of the section's title, in both states. Marking a section read fills the check green; tapping it again reopens the section. The fold animates, and the button has a larger tap target on phones.

Add to home screen button works on phones again

Tapping "Add to home screen" in the mobile Settings panel opened the install steps behind the panel, so nothing seemed to happen. The steps now show on top.

Cleaner fact-check notes on lessons

The accuracy check on generated lessons now settles its reasoning before deciding what to flag, so the note shown with a lesson states conclusions instead of working. Illustrative examples and letter counts are no longer treated as factual claims.

A changelog, and a 'What's new' bar

Every update to DailyRite is now listed on the changelog page. When something ships since your last visit, a one-line bar at the top of your briefing and dashboard points you to it.

  • Dismissing the bar is remembered on your account, so it stays dismissed on every device.
  • Opening the changelog page also marks everything as seen.

Weather shows the shape of your day

Under the high and low, the weather card now shows the expected morning, afternoon, and evening temperatures, each with its conditions and the chance of rain or snow. A single "right now" reading would only be true at the moment the briefing was built, and most people open it hours later. The markets section also honors your per-section story count.

Calendar agenda appears as soon as you connect

Connecting Google Calendar now adds today's agenda to your current briefing right away instead of waiting for tomorrow's generation.

Old articles no longer resurface as breaking news

Stories DailyRite has already shown you in the last 45 days are filtered out, and each story's real publish date is checked so a re-indexed month-old article can't slip in as today's news.
